Ways To Curb Corruption From India
"If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher."~A.P.J Abdul Kalam
Corruption is the abuse of the bestowed power or position to acquire a personal benefit. Corruption can be classified as grand, petty and political, depending upon the money lost and the sector where it occurs.
Grand corruption consists of act committed at high level of Government that distort the policies enabling leaders to benefit at the cost of public cost.
Petty corruption refers to everyday abuse of entrusted power by low and mid level public officials at different places.
Political corruption is a manipulation of policies, institutions and rules of procedure in allocation of resources by policy makers to sustain their power, position and wealth.
Corruption thrives where temptation meets permissiveness , where institutional checks on power are missing, where decision making are opaque and civil society is dis-empowered. It is therefore essential to create a systematic approach to control or prevent people from misusing their powers.
